All units in the hostel are equipped with a kettle. At Rata Lodge Accommodation every room is equipped with a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, and a patio with a mountain view. Stayed one night and it was recently redone and very comfortable. The community spaces felt like a comfortable home. Gerard and Vicki were friendly, kind, helpful, I can’t say enough good things about them. I needed to do laundry ($10 to wash and dry) and Vicky brought it up to me when it was done. One thing needed more drying and she graciously put it back in the dryer and brought it up to me again. Would have loved to stay longer and explore the beautiful Arthur’s Pass area.

This 'hostel' is newly finished with a comfy room, clean shared bathrooms (loo and shower in one room plus single loo and single shower room). Espresso machine in the dining room, free of charge, and spacious kitchen prep area plus large dining area. Floral art work to brighten the halls. Warm scones offered on arrival. Probably the best hostel we've ever stayed in and reasonably priced compared to other hostels. Right off the main road. Just a few minutes walk to the local grocery shop.

Ivorytowers Accommodation is situated opposite Westland National Park rainforest and mountains, just a 4-minute walk from Fox Glacier Village. Guests can enjoy a hot tub surrounded by native bush land, a sauna and free WiFi. Great location. Close to forest with Glowworms. Nice jacuzzi as a surprise.

Very easy walk from TransAlpine train station, classic ol’ place, our private rooms were very nice, upgraded and comfortable beds , plenty of electric plugs.

Sinead accommodated us old farts v nicely. upgraded us to a newly renovated cabin. the former jade workshop. Angie, newly minted managed was v attentive. kitchen was pretty good. had a good dinner
