Nice quiet but buzzy hostel - great breakfasts, and nice (but small) cabins. There were nice communal areas where people often chatted and got to know each other, but it also wasn't a "party hostel" where you might be disturbed by noise etc. Staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Everything was great- the beds had private space, lockers, power points, fans. The dorm room had AC overnight (or during the day if you asked for it) which combined with the good mattreses made a very comfortable sleep.
The bathroom was clean, the kitchen was clean and well equipped.
Breakfast was really good and they were happy to make it a little early if needed because of dive times.
All the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The chillout areas are well designed at the front of the hostel which creates a very relaxed and engaging atmosphere. I 100% recommend.

Mike, the owner, is an excellent chef. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and dinner. He speaks many languages so communication was easy. We learned a lot from him about the area. TORIO is a very small rural location in a lush tropical setting with very friendly people. Nearby is Playa TORIO which has good swimming.

Very friendly check in & tour of the tour. Gave person # & picked up when needed from beach & at the end of our kayak to the remote island in front of catalina beach.

As the first customers of Bambuda Santa Catalina hostel we had a great stay! It really looks like the pictures and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Location is also great, close to the surf beach and restaurants near the town.

The hostel is located 20minutes out of town (by foot). It’s the perfect spot to relax! The beach is crazy beautiful. It feels like paradise and is perfect for surfers.
