after two weeks i can say that this place feels like home. carolina and her family are warm, welcoming and create a very loving atmosphere, so it's easy to talk to people and make connections. showers were hot, beds comfortable, rooms clean and the breakfasts a daily highlight. i honestly can't wait to come back. thanks carolina, paul, anita & álvaro!

We had a great stay at Krusty Hostel! The rooms are bright and spacious, great hot shower, rooms get cleaned every day. The breakfast was also nice, something different every day. Kitchen and rooftop terrace. Most of all, the staff was really helpful and flexible, it was no problem checking in early after we arrived with a night bus and checking out late. The owner also runs a travel agency and organizes tours and treks, e.g. to Huayhuash. He was always really helpful and flexible and gave us good recommendations. Would definitely stay here again! This is a great hostel - really nice courtyard and chill out area with hammocks. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but tasty, we loved the little dog and the staff were super nice. Also amazing value!

I booked my stay at BIG MOUNTAIN on a recommendation anda was not disappointed. The rooms have super confortable bed and nice hot showers. Breakfast every morning includes yohurt anda cereals. Almost forgot to tell: There is an enormous CLIMBING WALL

Great location to explore Caraz and a great base for popular surrounding hikes. Carmen was a fantastic and extremely helpful host, organising & explaining (affordable) transport options to all our hikes. It was great to also get laundry done.

The staff, Paul and Mary, were so welcoming and friendly. Paul, a mountaineer, was super helpful with recommendations for hikes and day walks. The bed was comfortable and the internet worked well. Breakfast was great, and the coffee was top-notch and freshly made. Plenty of space to dry out a wet tent or air out sweaty boots. Perfect spot for before or after heading into the hills!
