Even though it's on the other side of the island, so more away from all the touristy places, I loved this place. The host was amazing, welcoming me very late in the evening. I had my own room and the view from the terrace was stunning (ocean, vawes, nature). I liked how calm and quiet it was there, and because I had a car, it was no problem to travel all around the island from the hostel. It wad clean, and interior was really cool too!

There is a place you can leave staff so others can pick it up and it won't be wasted. We loved that idea! Room was very comfortable and had enough space. You can also buy some local handmade products, we got a soap with a really beautiful orange scent 😍

It was so calm and quiet, perfect space to wind down and especially during low season you get the ultimate perk of having basically no people at the beaches ;) Sofia the host was super friendly and helpful... couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Nice kitchen and facilities! Just keep in mind that you have to do groceries etc in the centre, as there's only a small restaurant around (which is cheap and good though). And it's a different island than Madeira itself, not everyone may know this ;)
