First of all, it's a perfect location - 2 minutes walk from where our bus arrived. And literally around the corner from the night market. Ness was very helpful and welcoming. He really takes care of us. And also organized us on a slow boat ticket to Laos which was very smooth. The rooms are clean and have powerful air conditioning. The rooftop is also a great spot to sit and have a drink while watching the sunset. Would definitely recommend.

With a private bathroom equipped with slippers, rooms at the hostel also offer free WiFi, while selected rooms are equipped with a balcony. Chean-Chean House is a lovely small guest house with only 4 rooms and a large common balcony. My room was directly connected to the balcony, which gave us a dining table outside. The room was tastefully decorated and contained a small fridge as well as a kettle. The bed was very comfortable, the en suite bathroom was quite nice with a nice hot shower. Location was in a quiet residential street opposite a Buddhist Temple. The lady that ran the place was very nice, and quite cheerful.

I came across the newly opened Secret Corner boutique hostel in Chiang Rai, - everything is brand new and super clean, + the WiFi is amazing! The dorm rooms are smartly laid out and the beds are v comfortable. The central location makes for easy access to nearby centre bars & restaurants. The other guests were from Asia and the far side of Europe making for some great discussions! Highly recommended.
