Our apartment is situated in a vibrant neighbourhood in Saranda, with plenty of amenities right at your doorstep. Spend your days lounging on the nearby beach, exploring the charming streets of the city center, or discovering hidden gems in the local markets. With an array of shops, bars, and restaurants just steps away, you'll never run out of things to see and do! Ksamil: The village of Ksamili has a beautiful beach with several small islands you could swim to. The ancient city of Butrint: A UNESCO World Heritage site, Butrint was an ancient city throughout Greek, Roman, bishopric and Byzantine periods. Butrint is one of the greatest classical cities of the Mediterranean. The current archaeological site includes an impressive Roman amphitheater, a Byzantine Basilica (the largest in the world after Hagia Sophia in Istanbul), a Roman temple with mosaic floor, a beautifully carved lion's gate as well numerous constructions built throughout time. The old Castle of Lekures: Also known as Lekursi Castle (Lëkurësi Castle). There is a nice outdoor restaurant within the castle from which you have panoramic views of Saranda Bay below, the inland mountains, the Butrint Lagoon and the island of Corfu on the Ionian Sea. Gjirokaster city: Also known by many as the "City of Stone," a UNESCO World Heritage site is a developing center for cultural heritage tourism. A walk through its network of cobbled streets that climb steeply out of the bazaar will transport you back in time
