Have you ever just known something was right? Been absolutely, positively, no chance you are wrong, sure? Maybe it's your partner? Maybe it's your job? For us, it was this place. To be so certain and so passionate about something is an amazing feeling. The way the hill glows in the afternoon. The way the bush turkeys answer to their names now. The way the kookaburras laugh at me when I get my britches caught climbing through the barb wire fence. The way we can work like a trojan from dawn to dusk and feel like we have been on holiday. We'd love you to come and leave having felt like this. We keep waiting for that high to go away. And it just doesn't, how lucky are we! And if I do get bored I just wander next door to Copeland Tops. The Mountain Maid Goldmine is awesome. Freaky to think they came through those hills with horse and cart and carried it all out on their backs. It is this insane landscape of ancient growth. And the fungi during winter. Never gets old.

Ever wanted to live in an episode of A Country Practice? I did. We've discovered sides to ourselves we never knew existed so I think this section is a work in progress. After 20 years of marriage and 2 teenage kids it has been an amazing thing to rediscover an energy for life and a new side to each other. When your a 40 year old woman fishing tadpoles out of the local creek because you are worried the frog in your pond is lonely you know you have changed, lol.

My neighbourhood is hundreds of acres of conservation forest. There are lyrebirds that just wander across your path, a galaxy of stars I never knew existed before and people that stop when you get a flat tyre and actually bring you a pie when they come to dinner. There are trees full of oranges and lemons, who knew they grew on trees! There are misty mornings and bright blue skies, trees that are so ancient you can't imagine and cows that are indifferent as you fly past. When it storms the thunder bounces around the mountains to give you the willies and when the sun shines the landscape simply glows.
