Company information

Denmark Forest Retreat was purchased by Melissa and Jason in 2018. It was time for a sea/tree change for us, so we gave up our Science teaching careers to become accommodation owners. Having fallen in love with the town back in 2005 and holidaying here ourselves since then, it was an easy transition for us and our family, making our nearby holiday home our permanent residence. People often ask us if we miss teaching, which we do, but meeting all our lovely guests is equally as rewarding.

Property information

The property is only 2km from town and has 5 houses on 13 acres of forested bush land. It has a stream that flows into a central dam and then continues out the other side across the property. There is a family of kangaroos that live on the property and many species of beautiful native birds. We have also discovered quite a range of beautiful orchids flowering this spring. There is also a granite outcrop as well. For a small parcel of land it has many diverse habitats and the same can be said for the flora and fauna that lives there.

Neighbourhood information

Being on the property you feel like you are away from everything but you are still right in town. The area is very quiet and central to all the sights that Denmark offers and also close to the city of Albany to the east and Walpole and the Tree Top Walk to the west.
