This absolute waterfront home is perfectly located opposite the MONA and overlooking the picturesque Derwent River, offering a truly relaxing experience just 20 minutes from the city. Whether you are looking for a base to explore this renowned region or simply a peaceful escape from the everyday, this two-storey, three-bedroom property is the perfect home away from home. Entering at ground level, a contemporary, open-plan kitchen, dining and living area offers a welcoming, light-filled space to unwind and socialise with loved ones. Cook up fresh, local produce in the well-equipped kitchen, eat around the kitchen island or at the dining table, then kick back in the living room on one of the comfy sofas with a movie. On cooler evenings, settle in with a book by the fireplace or simply enjoy views across the river and over to the twinkling lights of Hobart. There are multiple outdoor living and dining options, with a spacious patio, complete with a BBQ and table setting overlooking the Derwent River, offering an inviting place to share meals alfresco. A front verandah offers an additional spot for a quiet cuppa while looking out to the surrounding trees and landscaped gardens. Three well-appointed bedrooms accommodate six guests, with the second and third bedrooms located upstairs and the master bedroom situated downstairs. The master bedroom features a king bed and a modern ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, as well as its own private balcony where guests can enjoy a peaceful morning coffee. Both the second and third bedrooms are flooded with natural light and offer ceiling fans over queen-size beds. The light and contemporary main bathroom includes a shower and a bathtub for guests to indulge in a leisurely soak, as well as all the essentials including soap, shampoo and conditioner, and a hairdryer. Conveniences include Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, laundry facilities including a washing machine and dryer on the downstairs level, and undercover parking.

Neighbourhood information

The cafes, galleries, restaurants and sights of Hobart are just a 20-minute drive away. Take a ferry to MONA, which features a winery onsite, or wander around the city's picturesque waterfront precinct and visit Salamanca Market, held on Saturdays, to stock up on gourmet produce and local arts and crafts. The historic village of Richmond is under 20 minutes' drive, featuring more than 50 Georgian buildings and the oldest gaol in Australia. Other local attractions include World Heritage-listed Port Arthur, Bruny Island, Huon Valley, and the Tasman Peninsula.
