I (Deanne) am a true local,having lived in Renmark my whole life and as a young girl grew up on my parent's sheep station on outskirt of Renmark. As such, I enjoy the outdoors and don't mind getting my hands dirty - together with my husband,we enjoy renovating (whether it be houseboats, gardens or our own home) and find it rewarding to see our work transform things from nothing to something. Stephen moved to Renmark in 1993 , but had always enjoyed river life, spending many weekends at his best mate's shack near Mannum and skiing all day long on the river. Shortly after his move to Renmark, his love of the river led him to rent a house on the river and purchase his first speedboat and teaching many people to ski, even myself (I think I was his most challenging student!!). After we had children, we had them out on the river at an early age, enjoying houseboat holidays and getting them confident in the water. By the time each of our girls were aged of 4, it was now time for him to teach them to wakeboard and a couple years later to single ski. Now they are both confident at most water sports and we all enjoy spending time with family and friends out on the Murray River.

Property information

In 2008 my husband Stephen and I (Deanne) along with our two daughters (who were only toddlers at the time!) established "Boats and Bedzzz" and still own and operate the business intimately ourselves. Prior to business commencement we had to buy, renovate and sell boats, the end result being two quality houseboats "The Murray Dream" and "Moving Waters". In 2015 we built two x 3 bedroom holiday homes ("The Edna Villa" and "The Potter Villa") under the business name of "Renmark River Villas". In 2023 we built two x 4 bedroom holiday homes next door ("The Bellagrove Villa" and "The Rosa Villa"). Our accommodation is very unique to our region, in particular the two moored houseboats - floating accommodation on the Murray River! From the spacious rear deck of your private houseboat you can swim, paddle in the 2 person kayak supplied, fish, enjoy water sport activity from your speedboat/dinghy moored against the houseboat or just relax and take in the beautiful view of the river and the town's lights at night. The Villas have been purposely built for accommodation, but we also designed them to make you feel like you are at home with spaciousness and all of home's creature comforts like walk in robes, ensuites, coffee machines, full size baths, separate laundry room and full size kitchens that are well equipped.

Neighbourhood information

The Riverland is made up of 5 major towns including Renmark, Berri, Loxton, Barmera and Waikerie, with a combined population of approximately 35,000 people. All towns are only a 15 to 45 minute drive from one another, making it easy to explore the region. The Murray River and Lake Bonney (at Barmera) are the lifeline of all these towns. The river is wide, providing plenty of area for all to enjoy water activities. The region is a "fruit bowl", with significant plantings of grapes, citrus, almonds and stone fruit, providing lots of fresh produce for sale as well as wine tasting at cellar door sales. There are lots of other activities to partake in, including rose gardens, adventure parks, museums, paddlesteamer cruises, indoor playgrounds and cafes, retail shopping and wildlife/river walks just to name a few. Almost every weekend there is a major event happening in the Riverland too! Renmark is only a 2.5 hour drive from Adelaide and only a 1.5 hour drive from Mildura, making it an easy get away for a week or a few weeks.... .
