My husband and I are situated only a short drive down the road on our family sheep & cropping property. So we are always available to help out with any queries or concerns you may have. We try to give our guests as much space and independence we can and have a key safety box situated on the property to ensure you gain access in your own time and discretion. But please know that we are available to assist when needed.

Raffah House is situated in the heart of Tasmania, this majestic sandstone cottage has recently undergone an extensive cosmetic overhaul inside and out to convert this beautiful 1840s home into modern, contemporary 'low key luxe'. 3 bedrooms - 2 queen beds & 2 singles perfect for the kids. All decked out in cloud soft, french linen and luxurious pillows, doonas and toppers to ensure you have the most relaxing sleep possible. The spacious kitchen is kitted out with all the amenities to ensure you’re comfortable whilst whipping up a storm for your friends or family, like you’re in your own home. The bathroom has a large double vanity, heated flooring, lavatory, generous double bath and a walk in shower, finished off beautifully with local Tasmanian made and owned Lentara Grove body wash, shampoo & conditioner. There is also a second separate lavatory. The laundry has a washer & dryer, along with washing powder you're welcome to use throughout your stay. Raffah Pantry - We provide a complimentary breakfast of fresh eggs, a small bottle of full cream milk, The Tasmanian Juice Press juice, croissants, butter and a jar of Tasmanian honey or raspberry jam. If you have any dietaries or need an alternative milk then please let me know ASAP and I will arrange accordingly. In addition to the breakfast we also provide a simple pantry of muesli, pasta, olive oil, salt and pepper, sugar, teas, ground coffee and coffee pods for guests. For the bigger items we encourage you to drop in to a supermarket to stock up on any provisions and other culinary tassie delights you might want to cook up at Raffah. Dinner Trading in Oatlands - Please be mindful that at the beginning of the week there are extremely limited dinner options in town and we strongly advise that you prepare to cook dinner in house at Raffah. We have a fantastic local IGA that is open until 7pm every day and we also advise that you refer to our guidebook on Oatlands and also search online restaurants in Oatlands.

Raffah House is centrally located in Oatlands, an easy 50 minute drive to Hobart which has the Salamanca Markets every Saturday, Museum of Old & New Art (MONA) with loads of restaurants and cafes in direct proximity. Richmond is a short 40 minute drive away surrounded by antiques, wineries and eateries in the Coal River Valley. The East Coast of Tasmania with the stunning Freycinet National Park is a beautiful one and a half hour road trip away with wineries and walks. The famous Agrarian Kitchen is 50 minutes drive away in Lachlan, next to New Norfolk which has the Drill Hall Emporium. Oatlands itself has the Callington Mill and soon to open Distillery. Lake Dulverton and for a spot of shopping Provincial Interiors/The Jardin Room & Elm Cottage Store. There is also Bunch which have exceptional coffee, wood fired pizzas and beautiful breakfast and lunch options, the Kentish Hotel for beautiful pub food, Pancake & Crepe Shop and Vintage on High just across the street from Raffah for delicious baked goods.
