The surrounding national park is perfect for fishing, kayaking, biking, surfing, hiking and sightseeing. You can take a leisurely stroll along the beach or go on an adventurous hike through the nearby trails, all while taking in the stunning scenery that surrounds you. For those who wish to explore the local culture, there are numerous quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants in nearby Bundeena. Explore the local Art Trail held every month. Sydney CBD is only an hour away if the need to visit the city arises. You can also take the nearby Bundeena ferry to Cronulla for a day trip. For the explorers, take a day trip to The Illawarra Coast or the Southern Highlands In the evening, you can unwind on the deck and watch the breathtaking sunset over the water. As night falls, you can marvel at the starry sky and enjoy the peaceful ambiance that surrounds you. All the furnishings and mod cons have been specially curated so you don't miss the comforts of home while you are on holiday. Everything in the house is new and in perfect working order.

Maianbar is a village on the outskirts of southern Sydney surrounded by the historic Royal National Park - the second oldest national park in the world. It is one of the most stunning landscapes you will find anywhere in Sydney. Maianbar provides a great base to explore local trails, waterways and beaches. Whether passing through towering eucalyptus trees on a bushwalk or steering the children toward knee-deep waters and sandbanks -- Maianbar is a magical place. Maianbar is also home to many artists who sell their works in their studios for the monthly art trail. Pump the sand for yabbies to use for bait to go fishing from the beach. At low tide you can walk across the bay on the sandbar from the house to Deeban Spit. There is one little cafe in Maianbar to grab a coffee/egg and bacon roll etc, and basic supplies. The main local shopping area is in Bundeena 10 minutes drive away. The Hacking River in The Royal National Park is a sanctuary for recently reintroduced Platypuses. You may be lucky enough to stumble across this elusive animal in the small creeks off the Hacking River.
