Established in 1852, our property is situated along the George River, Meetermer, where the river meets the sea. We are only a short 10 minute drive to the iconic Bay of Fires. Our century-old Stables have been repurposed to offer guests a boutique and authentic farm stay on the East Coast of Tasmania. We also offer private farm tours of our regenerative farm, where guests may learn further about our regenerative farming practices, our high quality, fully grass-fed Cape Grim Beef cattle, and our conservations efforts to save the critically endangered Davies Wax Flower (which is endemic to our property). As part of our offering, we also include an array of Tasmanian produce to welcome you to the Stables. This includes, family owned Ashgrove Dairy milk, Duck River butter, Villino Coffee beans, a bouquet of herbs and seasonal produce from our garden, a bottle of Arras Sparkling wine, eggs from our hens, and locally smoked bacon.

Hi there! Over a span of three years, my Dad (Ross) and I renovated our century-old stables into a boutique and authentic farm stay. By repurposing all original materials, we've ensured that the heritage of this incredible building is respected and sustained. My parents, Ross and Jo, live on site. The Stables is a detached building within a collection of farm buildings offering guests a peaceful and private stay.
