Neighbourhood information
Gijzegem is a typical small rural village, part of the bigger city Aalst, known for it's yearly Carnival. It is also very close to Ghent with it's beautiful midieval sites. A bit further dwon the E40, still within 1hr drive you'll also reach Bruges, the queen of the Flanders cities.
Aalst is only about 30 min drive from the Brussels National airport and all Brussels point of interest are also within 30 to 40 minutes drive.
