Your innkeepers, Emil and Vero, purchased The Farmhouse Inn B&B in 2025 to pursue their dream: owning a place where they could offer high quality hospitality. They found a place in a beautiful country setting in a historical area of Nova Scotia. They have been working in hospitality and the food industry for 10 years now. Emil worked as a cinematographer and had a remarkable mountaineer and rock climbing career. Vero also loves to rock climb, and worked as an animator in film and television as well as in visual arts before starting this new adventure.

Property information

Located in the beautiful village of Canning, this 1860s Farmhouse Inn B&B is perfectly located for you to explore all that the Annapolis Valley and the Bay of Fundy have to offer. Relax in old time charm after exploring some of the most famous hiking trails; Cape Split, Blomidon Provincial Park or visiting some of the ten vineyards in the area. Our B&B is close to many restaurants and only 12 minutes from the town of Wolfville. Each of our 6 suites have been uniquely decorated and have their own private ensuite. The North Mountain Suite and Annapolis suite have king size beds, living rooms and their own refrigerator, coffee/tea station and are located in the Carriage House. The Acadia, Apple Blossom, Minas Basin and Fundy Suites have queen size beds and are located in the Main House. The main house has a shared common area with a refrigerator, coffee / tea station. <p> A wonderful breakfast is served each morning in the original elegant dining room with original 1860s pine floors and a pressed tin ceiling. We offer a 3 courses all homemade and local ingredients. Please advise us if you have any dietary restrictions prior to arrival and we will do our best to accommodate your request. GF / Vegan / Vegetarian options available. Guests are welcome to relax on the front porch swings or enjoy our beautiful gardens.

Local attractions include; Historical UNESCO sites, hiking trails, Bay of Fundy high/low tides, red sandy beaches, wineries, restaurants and local gardens. We will provide you with a local map we created that highlights everything you may wish to explore and all within 30 min of the B&B. Walking: 5 min walk is our beautiful village; a few restaurants, grocery/liquor store, coffee shops, meat market, pottery shop, pharmacy, convenience & Gas Service and much more.
