Informatie over de accommodatie

Approximately 700BC, Polynesian voyaging canoes moving from the Western Pacific made their first Rarotonga landing at Avana Harbour. Local historians say these canoes arrived from Tahiti and Samoa.Many years later, perhaps 700 years ago, Avana harbour was the departure point for another great migration, this time to Aotearoa. Avana Waterfront Apartments is located at the very edge of Avana harbor, a unique place in Rarotonga. A self contained apartment with laundry and cooking facilities, with 2 units of 3 bedroom, 4 units of 2 bedroom and 4 Units of studio ( 2 on the second floor and 2 on the ground floor). Three and two bedroom apartment has air conditioning at rear bedroom while studio is fully air condition but there is extra cost, if you want to use the air conditioning. Swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, diving, fishing, cycling, reef walking, hiking are some of activities you can do during your stay. Bonfire, picnic, coconut husking are the other things you can do while your here. All rooms are waterfront and has awesome view from the lagoon and small islet opposite. A perfect relaxing place for you and for your family, for your friends and for your special one.

Avana is 5 minutes walk to the nearest restaurant "The Mooring Cafe" on the main road turn left, they are open Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 noon up to 4:00 p.m.. The nearest shop is Kia Orana Store a short walk of 5 minutes going to the main road turn right and on the left side of the road. They are open Monday to Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 to 8:30 p.m.. The CICC or Cook Islands Christian Church is before "The Mooring Cafe, church service is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon every Sunday. Other restaurant can be found in Muri and 20 to 30 minutes walk from Avana or 3 to 5 minutes drive. Muri night market is selling local foods every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. You will see also the historical site where the first Polynesian arrive in Rarotonga that is opposite the Cook Islands Christian Church only 3 minutes walk from Avana. We are 15 minutes drive from Avana going to the airport. Our neighbor is friendly and we have a safe environment.
