Discover a place with over 100 years of history Our special cottage its located on a specialty coffee and hass avocado family own farm call Las Mercedes Coffee Farm. Our farm it´s an agricultural integrated family project of specialty coffee, avocado production and hospitality services. The property keeps primary forested area to promote conservation of underground water/springs and the general sustainability of the project. Also, our farm is quite unique since we were part of the 1948 civil war of Costa Rica, we have a lot of history, beautiful gardens and social areas waiting for you. We also offer coffee tours where we teach our entire operation related to coffee production and export to different markets in USA and Europe. Everytime you book a coffee tour with us we will immerse you in our country´s political history.
My name is Melania and I am the fourth generation of the Gamboa family to continue in the property, me and my family have developed this special project. We love coffee production and farming; we are really passionate and happy to belong to this amazing industry. The last 5 we have opened the doors of our farm to different people around the world, for me it's really special to been able to share with other people our costarican essence, culture and farm work.
We are located in Tarrazu, the largest, high altitute and best coffee-growing area in Costa Rica. This region its really famous worldwide for one of the best high quality beens. We are in a cool mountain climate, cloudforest and sorrounded my amazing mountains. Our climate is really fresh, special for a break from the normal tropical heat of the country.
