Malpais is located at the very south of Nicoya Peninsula, on the Pacific coast, at the border of Costa Rica’s first claimed nature reserve, Cabo Blaco. Started as a small fishing village, the area has developed into one of the most famous and loved vacation spots in the region. With Playa Carmen and Santa Teresa on the north side, we have some of the best surf beaches in the world combined with a modern and vibrant town, all within the lush jungle. You’ll find our location super accessible, just 700m from Malpais - Santa Teresa Crossroad, within a 24-hours secured gated community. The private parking is just a few steps from the gate to our private studio, which has an easy-to-find, secluded entrance and front deck. Our shared pool is just a minute walk farther, where you can enjoy a sweet tropical garden and a comfy outdoor seating. Get to the beach in just a few minutes walk, including surf spots and Malpais tide pools. Pets allowed! We are pet friendly. No Parties or Events. Smoking is only allowed outdoors. Alongside the beauty of traveling to such remote regions, some comforts may occasionally be unavailable. Short water and power outbreaks can occur at times in this region.
