Hello! my name is Jose and I'm your host and the owner of the beautiful Sunset Monteverde! I made my way here from the amazing Rocky Mountains of Colorado in the United States. I came to Costa Rica looking for a slower pace and a calm life. I am very appreciative and I fill my life with mindfulness and intention. As a 22 year entrepreneur, I bring plenty of business acumen to the hotel scene. In addition to the hotel life I also am the owner of a real estate company and an online Jiu Jitsu platform in the United States. Prior to this I was a professional Chef and restaurant owner and also cooked for the Food Network, Cooking Channel and NBC. You can find me on shows like Eat St., Carnival Eats, and Food Fighters. As much as I loved being in the kitchen, it was the guest conversations that I really enjoyed. The hotel industry is perfect as I still get to connect but without spending most of my time in the back of the house. - I am excited to host you and I very much look forward to hearing your story!
