Our stone house was originally the village court house, before my grandfather bought it and built more rooms from stone. The courtyard house consist of one section, with two rooms, toilet/shower wet room and kitchen with fireplace. The second double room is independent with an en-suite and fridge only. We also have an outdoor shower/toilet for after the beach. All rooms open into the courtyard, which is where we spend most of our time, eating and sitting, enjoying the beautiful view of the village and surrounding mountainous area. On a clear day you can see the horizon all the way to the Mediterranean sea. Breakfast is available upon request.
Theopisti grew up in this Traditional Stone House in Simou village, which was built by her father Chrysostomos. Now she has retired in the village home, and converted the stable to a small home, while she rents out the family home with the courtyard.
Simou is a quaint little village with 2 coffee shops (Kafenia) and a Traditional tavern in the village square. The large Byzantine church is also at the heart of the village with a school behind it. You will find wifi in the tavern, it is not widely available in the village. The village square is 100m walk from our house.
