The story of Urlas is primarily the story of Eva and Vašek, who were very close in their youth. After graduating from high school, Eva set out to explore the world and fulfill her life's dream to become cabin crew. In order to reach for the sky she became fluent in English, German and Spanish. Her dream came true and she had the opportunity to she travel the world as a BA first class cabin crew. As she learned about the laws of the world and later became mother, Eva's worldview and vision of the world also changed. She began to study everything related to the soul and body, a healthy lifestyle and the perception of the miracles around us. She qualified as a Naturopathic nutritional therapist, Colon hydrotherapist, breathing coach and Yoga teacher. She fell in love with practicing Yoga outdoors, in the fresh air, surrounded by amazing nature. She traded Urlas for London, only she knows why she did it. Vašek on the other hand is a true mountaineer, loving every little spot in "his" mountains. He started coming here when he was still in his mother's womb. To a cottage high above Velká Úpa, to Javoří důl, which his family had been going to since the autumn of 1946. When he began to perceive historical connections and understand why there are stone drifts everywhere and paths in the forests that lead nowhere, he began to perceive everything around him completely differently. He often laughs and says that he suffers from Stockholm syndrome. It was clear that he would end up here permanently. The Javoří důl was not ideal for business with a small cottage, so he finally put down roots on the opposite bank of the Úpa in Zadní Výsluní. On the beautiful sunny slope of the Velká Úpa, which, thanks to its well-kept meadows and grazing cows, seems like a little Austria to him. For Eva and Vašek, Urlas is home. They love each other and are happy together here. Each of them came here by a different route. Vašek across the river, Eva across the sea. But they are here. Together!

Between a stream and a forest, with a beautiful view and sunshine, Modern timbered house with unique terrace offering breathtaking view. Guest love to relax in the oak chairs and cook in the outdoor kitchen with a grill. Our mountain lodge offers comfortable stay in our modern apartments, all with its own fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. It is functional and practical with a clever design. It will surely grow in your heart and will allow you to experience beautiful moments with us in the Krkonoše Mountains. Guest access Free parking is available next to the house. Guests are required to purchase and entry ticket to the national park for the car. The price is about 8 euro (200 CZK) for one week. In winter months, the access to the chalet is restricted due to snow and the snow slopes and therefor parking by the chalet is unavailable. You would be required to use town carpark and we would bring you up the hill to the chalet with our snow buggy. We would discuss this with you before your arrival.

The unique location of our Chalet is an ideal place for kick off your hikes to many amazing places , such as Snežka mountain as well as Karpacz in Poland. It would be our pleasure to advise you about all the beautiful destination our region has to offer. Allow us to suggest taylor made hike routes for you and your family, trips to nearby castles in Lower Silesia. Why not to climb to Sněžka, visit the Pecka kids play park which is about 1,5 km from our house , walk in the treetops, fill in your stomach good restaurants, enjoy sunbathing on our beautiful terrace, practice Yoga with us, visit a rock club, pamper yourself in a perfect pastry shop or just relax and unwind. In winter enjoy skiing on the ski slope accessible directly from the house or have fun sledding on any of the surrounded hills. In case of bad weather we can arrange for you a visit in the local wellness center or you can go and see the movie in the mountain cinema in Malá Úpa. If you enjoy beer there you would enjoy visit to one of the mini brewery. We would be happy to share many tips with you .
