Augsburg is a very elegant and beautiful city. The streets are lined with colorful stylish buildings, most rebuilt to the original plans following one of the heaviest allied bombings in 1944. The church of St Ulrich & Afra is a marvel, as is the Golden Hall in the Rathaus. The unique water system and the Fuggerei social housing complex also make Augsburg stand out in a historical context

Beautiful, clean city, with very interesting architecture.
Beautiful, clean city, with very interesting architecture. It is worth to visit Schaezlerpalais and the house of Leopold Mozart. It is very easy to walk throught the city where you can find everything you need. There is many nice restaurants, where they offer good and tasty food or small caffes for good coffee with a great cake. Our favorite restaurant was Aposto Augsburg.

A really interesting place with beautiful architecture.. but...
A really interesting place with beautiful architecture.. but very busy. We were really interested in the small museum upstairs in St Anna’s church about Luther. It was very informative and well put together. The hotel Jakoberhof was right opposite the Feuggeri - the oldest social housing project in the world which was fascinating. We ate once at Burger meets Falafel which was just round the corner from the hotel.

Augsburg is rich in culture.
Augsburg is rich in culture. All the sightseeing spots are accessible with the street train and by walking. Diverse food culture. The locals were gracious enough to help us with giving us directions etc in English so we were thankful for that.
We’ll go back again in a heartbeat.
Great breakfast! Snacks around 4 pm near the elevator. Yum!
It was a bit far from the train station BUT we discovered that the tram passed right by to old town and then the train station (and probably then the hotel) - #4? We walked just about everywhere, so it wasn't too bad even if you choose to walk.
Hotel was right beside a lovely walking/biking path near the river. This is Germany after all. LOVE IT!
Quiet room facing the inside "V".
Rooftop deck was lovely! Weight room looked good.
The best thing about this hotel is definitely the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and nice at all times. We checked in after the reception was already closed, but everything was perfectly prepared for our arrival. In the room we were welcomed by a small personalized note on a blackboard on the wall and a complimentary cookie and water. There is a very spacious parking lot available as well. The breakfast was small but very good in terms of quality and freshness of the food.
The staff at Ibis were absolutely fantastic. They did not hesitate once when we asked for help, from receiving our food deliveries, to giving advice on where to eat or how to get around. Farid and Rainer specifically, we cannot sing their praises enough.
The location is also just fantastic, a 5 minute walk from the main station, and a tram just outside the hotel, allowed us to get around very easily. Thanks to all for the stay and we'll definitely be back soon!
I liked everything, starting from the warm welcome from the hotel owners…to the cozy decoration. My room was spacious with a big balcony facing a beautiful garden.
Location is another highlight of this Hotel, in a walking distance you can reach the city historic centre, and lots of restaurants and coffee shops.
Delicious breakfast served at the ground floor.
Definitely in my next visit to Augsburg, I’ll stay at Dom Hotel again.
We chose the Dom Hotel because we had been there in 2019 and had a good experience then. It is located a block outside the tourist area which made it quieter but still close. Our room, 105, was large, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable too. Their breakfast is excellent with all the potential choices of a high quality. They also have a very safe area for storing bicycles. My encounters with the staff were always pleasant.
We enjoyed our stay at the Dorint hotel very much: price of the room was including breakfast, the room itself was specious end well designed, the beds very comfortable and we had a nice view from the balcony. It was not possible to park out car in the adjacent parking garage, but the alternative was also fine. All-in-all, it was one of the best hotels we stayed for that price, location and facilities.
Excellent location-walking distance from the town centre; convenient parking, suitable for high vehicles (with roof box); staff are very friendly and helped us with all our requests; breakfast was brilliant - typical Bavarian breakfast, high quality, fresh and tasty; room and bathroom very high class; hotel is dog friendly. Everything was exceptional, thank you very much
Excellent breakfast, the omelet cook did a fantastic job cooking my eggs. Each breakfast station was well maintained. We received super advice from the front desk regarding train travel and tickets in Augsburg and back and forth to Munich. Checkout time allowed for some last minute shopping. The room safe was an excellent size, most are hotels have smaller safes.
Quiet and clean room, very comfortable bed, pretty big shower, Budget Price. We enjoyed our stay in Ibis Budget Augsburg. You can have your breakfast at the hotel fo €7,50 or go to the gas station in front.
Good location from the highway and good location for the city center. Will be our choice again when visiting Augsburg.
After hassling with long walks to find our hotels in other places, it was nice to just walk next door from the train station. Staff are fluent in English and were helpful to this American in getting oriented to Augsburg. I was surprised how quiet it was so close to the trains.
Good location of the hotel. Public transportation is right in front of the hotel. There’s a supermarket nearby, food is of good quality. Breakfast is nice, there isn’t a big choice of food, however I never thought that it wasn’t enough.
The room was super neat and clean. We need a parking and it was provided there. The gas station was right besides the hotel. It was fairly close to central train station (Hauptbahnhof).
The hotel is very quiet and located close to the train station and to downtown Augusberg. The staff were very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel
