As we live in the big city, we both dreamed of a retreat in the countryside near the Baltic Sea where we could spend time together in nature. We bought the property from a local farmer as we immediately fell in love with the view of the paddock and the country lane. My husband designed the house himself and built it with his timber construction company. Now we practically live in a long-distance relationship with this place - whenever we're not there, we miss it.
