Set against the backdrop of desert and mountains, Sharm el Sheikh is a year-round Red Sea diving and beach resort. Although based on an existing village, it is very much a purpose-built holiday town, with lots of international brands of hotel, restaurant and bar lining its sandy shores.
The oldest part surrounds the Old Market, a heady mix of shisha and spices, roughly in the middle of the Naama Bay and Um el Sid suburbs. The other Sharm districts of Shark’s Bay and Nabq Bay are along the coast by Sharm el Sheikh Airport.
The Red Sea offers some of the world’s best dive spots with rich underwater life on the deep reefs of the amazing Ras Mohammed National Park. Other watersports include windsurfing, kayaking or banana boating, and the Cleopark waterpark has flumes, pools and rapids.
Other things to do include shopping at Il Mercato mall and the many souvenir stalls, karting at Ghibli Raceway, or watching a show at the Arabian-styled Alf Leila Wa Leila. Outside town you can go horse or camel riding in the desert, and visit a Bedouin village or St Catherine’s Monastery in the Sinai peninsula hills.
The Sharm el Sheikh accommodation on Booking.com covers everything from 5-star holiday resorts to all-inclusive hotels with pools, and cheap apartments.

The hotel s contracted beach, Viva Beach was tidy, clean and the staff was friendly.
We had three or four dinners at El-Masrien restaurant and were satisfied.
Altough the service was a bit erratic, the food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable.
It was very easy to travel around that we visited the Old Town and Soho Square by using local minibus.
I must say that it is always necessary to bargain when shopping and taking taxi.

The area of Sharm El Sheikh is stunning and there is plenty to do. Shop around for trips out as there is a huge price variance between vendors and pay up front as most charge for credit / debit card use and cash machines are massively expensive to use with terrible rates.

Didn't travel much outside of our resort (only a brief stay for 7 days).
Not a fan of the airport - take your own toilet roll!! It seems to be held to ransom by employees of the airport, who expect you to pay for them handing you toilet paper/hand towels, something I am not accustomed to, coming from the UK.

It was not the first time I chose this hotel, and I felt at home from the very first moment again - and would always go back to the Il Mercato any time possible. I specially like the architecture (Jugendstil), the spaciousness, the interior design with beautiful pictures of flowers/plants, the old lamps, the floors in marble, the high ceilings, the courtyard of the restaurant with real palm trees, etc. This hotel is just beautiful and well kept!
It is perfectly located, with Hadaba and Old Market very near and the possibility to walk around any time, do some shopping etc. You have a choice of beaches and can even walk down to Il Terrazzina or other beaches as well.

My visit to Sharm El-Sheikh was marred by experiences that made me, as a woman, feel uncomfortable and sometimes unsafe. There’s a noticeable push to exploit tourists, which goes beyond simple haggling to situations that feel more like scams. My unease peaked during a taxi ride when the driver made inappropriate advances, attempting to touch my legs, which was both alarming and a clear violation of personal boundaries. Despite Sharm El-Sheikh’s beautiful surroundings, such incidents can overshadow the joys of exploring this destination. For female travelers, it’s essential to stay vigilant and prioritize safety.

When I got to the hotel, one person at the reception had no respect, told me that the booking was cancelled for no particular reason, were trying to charge me $230 per night, his name was Emed, he even quit talking to me and passed on to another guy, there was another one which helped me throughout the stay but never showed good respect either, or was annoyed.
There is one market there next to the bar, I wanted to say the guy working there is 5 stars always friendly, I even forgot to give him a tip because I was running late
Really good value for money. Part of the hotel nice and quiet, part with music and entertainment. Enough food choices, though it gets repetitive after a while. Not a big choice of alcohol in All inclusive but it seems like that's the case in Egypt. Beach has nice reaf but gets stormy easily. It was my first time in Egypt and I'm enchanted! Staff in the hotel was really helpful and so nice. Some shops around. There is a bit of a walk to the beach and spa was at the sister hotel across the street.
Hotel is very nice, stuff is friendly, we got better room with the same payment, family room is comfortable and clean. Garden is green and calm, restaurant food is enough tasty, u ll always find what to eat, sweets are also nice. We used a hotel bus to go to the sea, beach is appropriate for kids, sandy, they provide food and drinks there too (for all inclusive it's free). U can get rest in this hotel. Location is nice enough, 2 minutes away from go station bus
Everything, it was so clean, very spacious rooms, there was kitchen, bathroom, table and chairs, etc, it’s like a house, it makes you feel like you are in home. My family really loved it. It also have a pool. I was impressed and so happy with the place. The best in all sharm el sheikh, better than 5 stars hotel I swear. Staff was so kind snd respectful. Place definitely is high quality.
Yo y mi familia somos de Mexico y nos encanto todo.
Reception (Mr Ahmed) was very good but could not offer early check in for us. Have been Told that we have been upgraded to premium rooms which is very much appreciated but the room did not look any premium to me as was kind of standard for a 5 star hotel and what you should expect from such hotels so not sure what the standard rooms look like!
Same breakfast everyday,slow refill
My birthday was at my check in date and they ignored me even i sent a message for booking to mention this point and i remind the hotel reception guy
No deep cleaning
The toilet rush pin was very old not suitable to be in 5 stars hotel!!
We got a skin rash because of the dirty swimming pool water
Great all inclusive value, excellent service, many options for food, pools and the reef is awesome!! Very convenient to snorkel right at the hotel and the coral and fish are comparable to the best sites in the world. The service was amazing all over the hotel from the pools to restaurants to rooms everyone wanted to make us happy!!
Beautiful hotel with a number of swimming pools. Rooms are very spacious, clean and modern. Special thanks to Mohammed Okasha for taking care of our room so well. The all inclusive deal with breakfast, lunch and dinner is a bargain.
Highly recommend their dive center, and specially the night night.
Sunrise Remal Beach was a perfect holiday destination. The hotel was gorgeous with fantastic, happy, helpful staff. The All inclusive buffet food was excellent and the beach was stunning with the fish and coral at your feet. Entertainment was fun, as lead by Aladdin. Nothing was too much trouble
Opting for all inclusive was very cost effective with several options to chose from. The snorkelling right off the hotel jetty was great with plenty of pretty fish to see. It was an easy walk down to Soho square to find other dining options too.
Staff very good, especially the cleaning staff and Aly Yahia was excellent. Spa staff were very good.
Overall hotel very clean with hard working staff.
Not a western 5 star standard. Beds and pillows not great, food moderate.
Every thing is excellent
Animation team, reception staff, housekeeping staff and all the facilities, food, bars are 5 stars
One of the best hotels i have visited
I am going to repeat the visit every year ❤️❤️❤️🫶🏻🫶🏻
In heart of naama bay , the rooms were good and big and the hotel was nice to its price
The best 3 stars hotel in naama bay to be honest
The stuff tried all thier best and were friendly
Friendly, helpful and professional staff from reception to the dining room to the beach bar: excellent! Front line hotel. Truly 5 stars. Great snorkelling and lots of sunshine!
Everything is good for sure , the hotel is a real 5 stars resort .. Sunrise chains are always super , the room is big , clean and cuzzy .. Resort location is very good ..
Excellent staff, friendly caring kind and professional.
Loved the food by far the best out of the three 5 star hotels I stayed in during my travels in Egypt.
I like it because the hotel was very close to naama Bay which we dont need any transportation for it and the rooms were spacious and everything was fine
