Company information

We – Patrick and Carin – ran a hospitality business in the Netherlands for years. We'd been wanting to start a business in Spain for a while. We took Spanish lessons, just in case, and talked about it a lot. When we discovered El Ranxo while traveling, we were instantly sold. Everything fell into place: the house, the surroundings, and the nature. We're delighted to welcome you to El Ranxo, and we hope you'll feel as much at home here as we do.

Property information

Our small-scale B&B offers four luxury rooms with ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning and views of the surrounding greenery. Start your day with a fresh breakfast, take a dip in our saltwater pool and end the day with a tapas board, cheese platter and a good glass of wine. Whether you're coming for a short holiday, a weekend getaway, a dog-friendly stop along the AP-7, or a stay with your camper, El Ranxo will make you feel at home right away.

Neighbourhood information

Caldes de Malavella is located in the province of Girona and our Bed & Breakfast is a great base for various activities such as motorcycling (both on-road and off-road), mountain biking, cycling, golf, horse riding or walking, but also for a city trip to Barcelona or Girona or a visit to one of the many beautiful coastal towns on the Costa Brava. Bed & Breakfast El Ranxo is located about 5 minutes from Girona airport, surrounded by 4 nature parks and has no less than 4 beautiful golf courses in the immediate area. The beaches of, Playa d'Aro and Lloret de Mar on the Costa Brava are around 25 minutes' drive away. You can see the Pyrenees from the B&B and these can be reached within an hour's drive. Barcelona is also an hour's drive away. Caldes de Malavella has a train station with, among other things, a direct connection to Girona and Barcelona.
