🏠 After years of searching, I chose La Aldea as my home base because it has a bit of everything — a romantic old town surrounded by authentic countryside, dramatic mountains meeting the transparent ocean, and a pleasant warm climate all year round. From here, you can reach anywhere on the island within an hour — north, south, or the heart of Gran Canaria. 🌅 My favorite activities (5 min from home) include watching sunsets with volcano views at a local beach, diving among fish in crystal-clear waters, hiking over a small mountain to the wild, sandy, virgin beach of Playa de El Puertito (a hidden gem where you can truly connect with nature), and stargazing to spot the Milky Way from scenic viewpoints nearby. 💛 Hosting gives me the chance to meet wonderful people from around the world — something I’m deeply grateful for.
