Welcome to our adults only BnB, Casa de Las Risas, directly translated to ‘House of Laughter’. Owned by Greg and Marion Howes. We are originally from South Africa and Australia, lived in England for 25 years running our own business and raising our 2 daughters. In 2020 we decided to make the moved to sunny Spain with our 2 dogs and have spent the last few years renovating our property to create a lovely BnB providing a tranquil space for guests to relax and unwind.

Property information

Our BnB is situated in an isolated, oasis, nestled in a valley hidden amongst and surrounded by lush green forest with lovely birdlife. Casa de Las Risas is located in a beautiful part of Spain with many things to do on our door step. Ideally situated in a campo (rural area) at the foot of Sierra Alhaurin, with just a 5 minute drive from the quaint village of Alhaurin el Grande town centre, boasting many shops and restaurants, the closet beach is la Cala Beach, just a 20 minute drive and the property is centrally located between Marbella and Malaga, which are both 30 minute drive away. We have easy access to Malaga airport which is a 35 minute drive.

If you are a golf enthusiast, with over 100 courses to choose from within a 1 hour drive, this is the perfect location for you and your group. So if you need help planning a golf trip, we can help you with deciding on courses and bookings. Please contact us with your requirements, Greg will he more than happy to assist with planning your golf holiday. Our area provides great access to a number of places of interest including, Mijas, Rhonda, Marbella, Malaga, Nerja and many more. If you are cycling or walking enthusiasts, there are an abundance of trails and hikes to choose from, including the famous Caminito del Rey.
