The second bedroom also has a king size bed, wall mounted TV, and double wardrobe, plus ceiling fan. The 2 x single bedrooms also have wardrobes and ceiling fans. The large and bright lounge with bay window features an electric reclining 3 seater and a 2 seater sofa, and a dining table and chairs for 4, a large flat screen LG TV and Air Conditioning/Heating. We love to host and meet new people and have made many new friends, and chose Aguilas for our holiday rental as we love the traditional feel of the place. Leaving the front door you are straight onto a small pedestrian area, with a restaurant, and just a short walk to the “Plaza Espana” with all the bars, restaurants and cafes situated around the main square. You can access the beach of Levante within 5 minutes, or a further short walk along the promenade Playa Delicias. Or from the rear entrance you can arrive at Playa de Ponienti in 5 minutes, giving you the choice of the best blue flag beaches Aguilas has to offer, and all within easy walking distance. And as well as the fishing port there is a marina and a sailing school. Being in the centre you do not need to use your car as everything is close by and Aguilas has numerous bars and restaurants situated all around the town, or along the promenades that stretch along the front, and has a large selection of independent shops to enjoy where you will be sure to find something a little different. If you fancy a night out then you can choose the theatre which is to be found after a leisurely stroll along the promenade, or for those of you who want a lively atmosphere then any of the numerous bars along the front have music throughout the season, and live events at Plaza Antonio Cortijos. Águilas is a municipality in the autonomous community of the Region of Murcia in Spain . It is located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea , in the Gulf of Mazarrón within the Costa Cálida , in the Alto Guadalentín region , located in the extreme southwest of the Region of Murcia . It has 35,722 inhabitants. It is known for its beaches and the carnival , declared a festival of International Tourist Interest in 2015 and is built on the landward side of a small peninsula, between two bays—the Puerto Poniente on the south-west, and the Puerto Levante on the north-east. The Puerto de Aguilas, close to the centre of the city, is flanked on its western side by a large rocky hill. On its top sits the Castillo de San Juan de las Águilas castle, built in the 18th century.
