“La Guarida de Vejer” is a charming rural hideaway in the heart of Vejer de la Frontera (Cádiz) —one of Andalusia’s most picturesque white villages, declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1976. Its maze of narrow cobbled streets, breathtaking views of the Atlantic, lively yet authentic atmosphere, and magical sunsets make Vejer a truly unique destination in southern Spain. Perfectly located within the historic quarter, “La Guarida de Vejer” is a lovingly restored holiday home that offers two independent accommodations: a spacious apartment for four guests and a cosy studio for two. Together, they feature three bedrooms, two fully equipped kitchens, two modern bathrooms, and two terraces with spectacular views over the village and its surroundings. The entrance to both accommodations is through a beautiful Andalusian courtyard, which leads to a shared entrance and then to two private access doors, one for each unit. From the terraces, guests can enjoy panoramic views and the peaceful charm of Vejer’s whitewashed rooftops.

After retiring, my husband —who is Australian— and I decided to travel across Spain so he could experience my country and its wonderful diversity. That journey led us to Vejer de la Frontera, and it was love at first sight. We fell in love with its light, its people, its cuisine, its beaches, and the calm, authentic atmosphere that makes it so unique. We knew right away that we wanted to spend part of our lives here, and that’s how the idea of creating a rural home with soul was born —a place to share everything we love about this magical corner of Andalusia. For me, being a host is pure joy: I love welcoming travellers, making them feel at home, and helping them discover the true spirit and magic of Vejer.
