Mahon is an easy going city. It is small and not too noisy. There is plenty to do and see. You can cover most areas on foot and there is a good bus service to other parts of Menorca. The harbour area is attractive with boat trips which are a great way to see the city and get an idea of its' history. It is also a very pleasant area to walk and there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars both in the harbour area and in the centre of town. Menorca has lovely beaches and because it is a relatively small island it is easy enough to reach anywhere from Mahon

Mahon is an interesting town with a large harbour and many individual shops. There is a wide range of cafes and restaurants. The streets are clean and the main town centre is pedestrianised so is very easy to get around.

The hotel whilst in the old part of town is very modern, bright and clean inside. The staff were very helpful and couldn’t go more for you. The hotel is very well situated ato explore the old town and is just 5 minutes from the famous fish market. The nearby churches are a must to see and offer sanctuary on a hot day !!

A good base to discover the rest of the island, I think that buses can get you to a fare number of places but as frequent visitors we invariably have a car waiting at the airport. Mahon is full of character, steeped in history. Boat trips available round the huge harbour.

Mahon port is a must, lovely to walk around and there are 2 lifts to take you from the port to the old town.
We love art galleries and museums and met some wonderful people.
Not a place for children really, Better for children on the west side of the Island.
Some really good restaurants Tap Can, La Opera and especially Perla!
Hotel Sant Roc has a great location in the city of Mahon, very walkable to the port, and has many dining options in the surrounding streets and plazas. The towels and linens of the hotel are fabulous, as well as the grooming kits supplied. I had the Junior suite, which was super spacious and perfect for couples or persons traveling solo. The breakfast is 'buffet' however you order the items a la carte - which I prefer for sanitary reasons - and the food is served directly to your table.
We were very happy to have found this most wonderful inspiring small hotel in Mahon. In a beautiful building on a quiet side street the interior is super stylish and full of art and cool things. The room spacious and very comfortable. The hosts very helpful and friendly and gave us great tips on where to eat and what to do in Mahon. The breakfast delicious. We just didn’t stay long enough but hope to return. Thank you so very much.
Very knowledgeable and well traveled host that can tell you all about the history and great places to visit. The hotel itself is extraordinary due to its one of a kind design aspects and love for detail. Most food items are sourced from the best local and organic producer. My family had a wonderful stay. It’s one of the locations and moments that you’ll remember for the rest of your life - fantastic energy and people.
You will love this hotel if:
1) Location is important to you. There is a vibrancy in Mahon that can be felt at different times of the day.
2) You enjoy large rooms. Our room was number 11 and it was indeed very very large and charming.
3) You wish to click some instagram pics. Hotel has a bunch of charm and neatly decorated features.
The best location in Mahon! Very beautiful/ clean rooms , and kind / amazing staff. We got a room upgrade and a very nice surprise by the employees for my partner’s birthday. The staff were very kind and very professional( they answered out messages before arrival ) It was perfect amazing stay at the hotel , we hardly recommend it.
The Artiem Hotel is great value for money! The location is perfect and within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and cafes of Mahon. The room was simple but clean and had everything we needed. The free drinks and snacks at the hotel were a bonus! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Stayed at the Hostal La Isla twice in one week. At the beginning and at the end of the week. Whilst cycling around Menorca in between.
Both stays were excellent, the staff were very friendly and the accommodation was very clean and tidy. Would recommend this Hostal, very good value for money !
The hotel was perfectly located in the centre of town. An ideal bolt hole if you are planning to explore Menorca and need somewhere comfortable and clean to come home to every evening. Didier was most helpful and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and linen/products all of top quality.
The Location of Son Vida Villa was perfect, just where we wanted to be in Cala Llonga, Menorca, just 10 minutes outside Mahon and 14 minutes from the airport. Very easy to find. It had everything my wife and I needed for our 1 week self catering stay. A cute little two bedroom Villa.
Very well located, turn left at the top of the road and you're 200m from the 'old town' wall (Tower Gateway directly ahead), go down the road and you're on the ramp to the waterfront.
Also only a short walk (10mins) from the main bus station and Menorca museum.
we have stayed in the past and we would not stay any where elese in Menorca the location is just fantastic the breakfast is excllent the staff are really nice room was brilliant really good free wifi and the tv has Netflix regular home from home
Pleasant staff. Pool area and pool were exceptional. Location of property was good for local amenities and distance for Mahon port and sights. Main bus station about a 15 minute walk, buses there to connect to all parts of the island
Jordi and Alex were very attentive and helpful, they helped us to plan our trip and recommened excellent restaurants! Hotel is very clean, excellent staff and location was also perfect. I totally recommend it!
Our second stay. Hotel looked after our bags while we walked the Cami da Cavalls. Great, friendly staff and nice bar with reasonable prices Quiet area no car noise. My first choice when in Mahon.
Located just above the port (access by stairs) and 5-10 minutes’ walk from the lovely historic centre, this no-frills but comfortable hotel is well worth considering as a base for exploring Mahón.
Clean and comfortable room. Good location with nice views. Convenient swimming pool. Small children play area. Just a 10 minute walk to downtown Mahon. Friendly staff.
