"A Rossa", a little history... It all began in 1927, when Saveria Grimaldi (my grandmother) married Don Quilici (my grandfather) in the little village of Conca (the southern start/finish of the GR20), and the couple decided to move down to the plains and settle in a house in Favone. Don worked as a mule peddler (U Dragulinu), and Saveria, after a period as a shepherdess (a pastòra), soon offered accommodation, food and refreshment to travellers wishing to stop off on their journey between Bastia and Bonifacio. The place soon became known as "A Rossa", the nickname given to my grandmother for her flamboyant red hair. Today, I'm the third generation to continue the adventure of this family saga. I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you soon, not only to my home, but also to this island that is always in my mind and in my heart.

The Bay of Favone is a seaside resort on a human scale, with a white sandy beach offering family-friendly water sports activities for discovering the upper (pirogues, paddleboats, canoes) or lower (scuba diving) side of this unsuspectedly rich Tyrrhenian sea. Its strategic position at the entrance to Corsica's southernmost region means that you'll be less than an hour away from the Bavella Massif, with its hiking trails and natural pools, Bonifacio, with its cliffside citadel, the Lavezzi Islands, with their lush terrestrial and aquatic fauna and flora, Corte, Corsica's historic capital, with its Melo and Capitello mountain lakes, Porto-Vecchio, with its famous Palombaggia and Santa Gjiulia beaches, and much more. Passionate about the sea and the mountains, I'm always available to help you discover this island at the end of the world.
