Ideally located, 10 minutes from the castles of Chenonceau, Amboise, and the Chanteloup Pagoda, or 30 minutes from Tours, this accommodation will allow you to easily visit the wonders of the Loire Valley. You will be able to discover Touraine with family or friends, by staying in this peaceful accommodation at Moulin de la Herserie, and enjoying the historic charm of this 18th century family home. The building includes 3 independent accommodations. You will occupy the West apartment, with a surface area of ​​88m2 and able to accommodate up to 6 travelers. It offers a large and bright living room with period exposed beams and stones, and a fully equipped kitchen through which you access the accommodation. All equipment is new.
 Overlooking the living room, a small alcove bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200). On the same level there is also a bathroom with its WC. Upstairs, a bedroom equipped with a sofa bed, allows either a Queen size double bed (160 x 200) or a single bed. This bedroom has its own shower room and WC. It is overlooked by a small sloping mezzanine with exposed period framework. This is equipped with 2 single beds (80 x 200) suitable for children. All the beds are new, as are the linens and all the kitchen equipment. Your apartment has an independent entrance and its own semi-open garden space overlooking the main entrance to the building and the parking space. Just behind the house is the pond which once fed the mill. The path that runs alongside it is reserved for the North accommodation, we thank you for respecting its private nature. 
The exceptional location of the house makes it an ideal base for discovering all the treasures of the region.

The Moulin de la Herserie is the old historical mill of the village of La Croix in Touraine! The mechanism and the water wheel are no longer in use, but the building, in my family for several generations, has remained intact and in its original state. We look forward to welcoming you there! The Loire by bike and Santiago de Compostela routes are just 5 minutes by car from the house. - The calm of the place! If you wake up early, you may be lucky enough to see a doe and her fawns who often visit us in the garden... but they run away at the slightest sound...
