My apartment is 31m2, on the 2nd floor of a typical old building of "Vieux Lyon", secured and without lift. ## The neighborhood Vieux Lyon sits on the River Saône quayside, overlooked by Renaissance-era mansions with hidden courtyards. The area consists of three distinct sections: Saint Jean, Saint Paul and Saint Georges. Saint-Jean, built around the Saint-Jean Cathedral, is the beating heart of the district and hosts numerous shops and restaurants. One of the most prestigious renaissance building is the Gadagne Museum, the City's History Museum, and the International Puppet Museum. Saint-Georges to the south is a haven of peace and the best place for a stroll. Museum of Cinema Miniature (3 mins way) showcases scale models by miniaturist Dan Ohlmann. Hilly, medieval streets lead to fine-dining restaurants and stylish bars selling Beaujolais wines. Also, you can take the funicular (next to the metro) to climb up to the sublime Basilica of Fourvière and admire a breathtaking view of Lyon.
