Our 'maisonette' is a mini-house with one floor or a 'Cocoon' as one of our tenants called it, a place where you can retreat, where you feel safe. It is semi-detached with our own house But the location of the house is very special, it is situated at the highest point above the village and therefore offers an impressive view of Aubazine and Brive la Gaillarde in the distance, especially after sunset a spectacular sight from the private garden belonging to the maisonette. The maisonnette also has a private Little terrace for breakfast. Normally it is verre quiet as we are located in a cul de sac.
My wife Nicoline and I emigrated to Aubazine in the Corrèze in 2013 for the quality of life, the clean mountain air, the vast nature with lakes, streams and waterfalls, the open nature of the people in this region a step we will never regret have received from. We are happy to share all this with our guests.
Aubazine and the nature around the village are a protected area. Besides the sights in the village itself, this place is a great 'springboard' from which countless trips can be made. The village has a grocery/bakery/général store a butcher, a pharmacy, a hairdresser and a post office. Aubazine is almost central in France, so it is 4.5 hours. to Paris and the Côte d'Azure, 2.5 hours. to Bordeaux and 3 hours. to Lyon! Brive la Gaillarde is the closest city at 20 minutes drive with all the amenities that a visitor wants. Golfclub at 10 min. drive, 18 holes.
