It's really pleasant to live in the city.
It's really pleasant to live in the city. Rennes is not like Paris but there is everything you need to live and enjoy yourself. The center of the city is full of fun with beautiful old buildings and churches. You can also find modern facilities for your convenience. I loved the beautiful city of Rennes.

Only stayed 1 day - could perhaps have added a day. Rennes is very car un-friendly! Lots of cycle lanes, some quite narrow streets; lots of one-way streets that lead nowhere 9so you enter the one=way system and after a couple of minutes you end up back where you started - and there are no optional turns out of this system!
That said, once parked and on foot, very pleasant indeed.. We also had very nice weather - late-mid September.
Good restaurants - we ate at a creperie for lunch which was good and at an unpreposing restaurant for dinner which was very good,

The city had beautiful screet scape, shops and cafes and an amazing park all within walking distance. The local were friendly and prices generally in eating venues was reasonable. Rennes having a metro is an excellent asset allowing a lot of walking knowing you can double back by train if you plan your exploration direction to suit the metro stops. The staff at the metro station offered very helpful assistance without prompting helping to understand the ticketing system and ticket purchase process.

The old town is lovely, but for the oldies a bit tricky with the cobbles. The restaurants seem to be all in the centre - other eateries are pancakes, pizzas, and burgers - not exciting. It is a city for walkers - I am 94 and walking only short distances. My partner is a walker, so no problem. The people are extremely friendly, and it is a young city.
Too high price for almost no service! The fire alarm rings for a long time after midnight nonstop bothered people’s entire night resting. Plus there is no parking good diode for price cost. We went to a guided parking said should not be over 25euro but it actually cost us almost 40 euros, so plus the hotel rate is totally not worthwhile for the cost and size of room we have never been on on our lifetime so far. So disappointed how bad booking. Com not giving us enough infor for this
Vey good hotel in the heart of Rennes. Its small but cozy and clean. Fresh towels and bed linen. Small but cozy rooms. The reception is open till late, maybe 24/7.
Very good breakfast. The choice of eggs, pancakes, cheeses and fruits. Very good staff. We are satisfied with our stay there.
5-7 min by walk and you are at the center of the city.
Out recommendations 100%
Excellent quiet, clean, comfortable, excellent staff that is very helpful. Location was great, took bus around town, food near by and good. Rennes is a lovely town and we will be back. VILLA TREDICI has wonderful food, across the street from the Gare and worth the walk of a few blocks, enjoyed their food twice during the stay.
The location is excellent right next to Gare de Rennes. Super convenient for food and shopping. The best part is the connection both by train or bus to other cities eg. Mont St Michel , St Malo . Highly recommend for tourists who want to explore this region. Room is clean and comfortable. Cozy atmosphere .
Very cool hotel with nice decorations, friendly staff and nice rooms. Number 9 bus a couple of minutes away from the hotel gets you straight to Rennes centre. English-language news channels on the TV (BBC, NHK World and Al Jazeera), as well as German channels.
I would recommend this hotel, both for short and long stays. It is fully equipped for self-catering. It is also very clean. Rooms are located in a residential house, in a quiet area south of Rennes railway station. The host is very welcomming.
The hotel is beautiful, located on the edge of the old town center (5-10 min walk to the very center) and conveniently close to the railway station. And the restaurant - very tastily decorated and the food was superb. All highly recommended.
Staff were so helpful and friendly. Many thanks to them. And the beds were GREAT and for me that is most important. But the reason we selected your hotel initially was its proximity to the train station - we had a 6 am train to CDG.
Train was fully booked, so we needed a place to overnight. Hotel is located oppositie to the station, staff is friendly, mini garden a big plus. We booked at booking.com (search: hotel nearby) and were welcomed 10 minutes after.
The breakfast was an absolutely delicious, mostly home baked buffet. The suite was very comfortable and modern and the hotel was low-key and very homely, in the nicest possible way! I would definitely stay there again!
This very centrally located hotel was excellent, spotlessly clean and comfortable, terrific beds and bathroom, and fairly spacious, with a good breakfast and helpful staff. Just opposite Dinan's medieval old town.
Nice, clean, new hotel. The staff was very pleasant. The location is a few blocks walk from where the historic area begins. It was fairly easy to arrive by car. (It is quite near the train station.)
Good solution for visiting Rennes or stop by while travelling to/from Brittany. The hotel can be easily reached from the highway and offers a free parking. Good place, clean, cosy. Recommended.
Amazing friendliness and service on the part of Marion, the manager. Ideal location for touring the old town. Being in the hotel was like stepping back in time. I loved every bit of it.
