Located in the Anjou wine region, this rustic 100m2 cottage equipped with all modern amenities is part of an old winegrowers property called Closerie Les Roches. We are close to all conveniences and charming villages and towns such as Montreuil-Bellay and Saumur. Visit local wineries, explore famous Loire valley castles, visit the award-winning Doué-la-Fontaine zoo or just stroll among the vines right outside the property. Closerie Les Roches is a 19th century local winemaker's 'domaine' and consists of a manor house and its barns and outbuildings, set within three acres of landscaped grounds. This particular cottage is one of three gîtes on the property and was originally the old caretaker's lodging. It's a place where you can come stay in a peaceful countryside location and have a relaxing holiday. Originally from Holland and India, we have lived in Ireland, California and Paris and love to travel the world. After working for over a decade in big tech, we decided to make a life change in 2019. We bought a nineteenth-century wine grower's property in the Loire Valley Anjou region and are renovating the barns to make new holiday cottages.
