Tucked away in the peaceful woodlands of Village le Chat, this cosy rural cottage is the perfect escape for families or couples looking to unwind in nature. Set in the heart of the Charente region, this charming cottage sleeps 4-5 guests, 1 kingsize bed, 1 double bed and 1 single in the living room Outside the doorstep, children will love exploring the two on-site heated swimming pools, lakeside beach with slides and pontoon, forest walks, and dedicated play areas. The cottage is well set up for families with young children, equipped with a folding cot with mattress and bedding, high chair and lots of books and games for young children. Well behaved dogs are welcome too, but we do ask they stay off the furniture and please note, the garden is not enclosed.
Our host Clare, has lived in France for 20 years, though she's not lost her Welsh twang!
Surrounded by serene forest and local wildlife, the cottage is an 8 minute drive from the town of Montbron where you can find a supermarket, pharmacy and lots of bars and restaurants, and a 50 minute drive from Limoges airport. For the golfing enthusiasts, Village le Chat is also next door to Golf International de la Preze, where you can enjoy a drink with a view on the verndah or a delicious meal in the restaurant - all a five minute walk from the cottage. Just 7 minutes down the lane is the stunning Camping de L'Etang where you can take a row on the lake, have a play in the games room and enjoy one of the best meals in the area.
