Between rolling green hills and views of snow-capped mountains lies our little holiday village, set on 40 hectares of meadows and woodland. Inspired by the world of the Hobbits, four cosy earth-and-wood houses were created here for you – places to arrive, breathe out and feel at home. Each house is bright, lovingly furnished and offers space for up to four guests. You’ll enjoy a living room with wood-burning stove, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a private terrace with barbecue and garden. In summer, you can cool off in the pool with panoramic views of the Pyrenees; in winter, you’ll love the warmth of the crackling fire. Our small village is also home to our animals – peaceful Galloway cattle, curious woolly pigs, chickens, bees and our dog Egon. They all help make this place feel alive, welcoming and close to nature. The houses are spaced far enough apart to give you privacy, yet close enough to create a charming little village atmosphere. Perfect for couples, families or groups of up to 16 people. The shared game hall – with table tennis, darts, table football, a drawing table, an old piano and a Lego corner – is very popular with guests of all ages. Groups who book all four houses can use it exclusively, for example as a yoga or seminar room.

We are Christine and Thomas. Originally from Germany, we discovered this place during a trip through France in 2020 – and instantly fell in love with the gentle hills, the peace and the beautiful view of the Pyrenees. The surrounding area offers a wide range of outdoor activities: From your doorstep, you can set off on beautiful hikes, or reach many other scenic routes within minutes by car – such as Roquefixade with its ancient castle ruins and stunning mountain views, or the magical “Green Labyrinth” forest. The Pyrenees and the nearest ski resort are only about 40 minutes away. The nearby Lac de Montbel offers countless ways to enjoy the water: swimming, stand-up paddling, sailing, kayaking or simply relaxing with a picnic by the turquoise shore. Cyclists will also find plenty to enjoy – from gentle rides along the new, flat Voie Verte on the former railway line to more challenging stages for experienced riders on historic Tour de France routes. For a different perspective, you can join a canoe tour or try an unforgettable donkey hike. The nearby towns offer lively weekly and evening markets, charming villages and historical sites, including the famous Cathar fortress of Montségur. Food lovers will be delighted too: The region boasts many restaurants serving everything from traditional local dishes to modern interpretations – perfect for enjoying the flavours of the South in a relaxed atmosphere. And for your everyday needs: You’ll find supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, pharmacies and everything else you might need just a short drive away.
