The gîte at Domaine du Lac is a tastefully renovated, self-catering holiday rental in the Dordogne countryside. Situated in a peaceful hamlet by the glorious Escourou lake and a moments drive from the centre of Eymet, a picturesque mediaeval town. The gîte can accommodate up to four people and one well behaved dog. There is a spacious main bedroom with an en suite walk-in shower room. The adjoining mezzanine (suitable for adults and older children) contains a second double bed, partitioned from the main bedroom with a curtain. The open-plan living area contains a fully-equipped modern kitchen with countryside views - a great spot for relaxing and dining. Outside, you'll find a private covered terrace - a shaded haven perfect for midday siestas and alfresco dining. Beyond the terrace, you can take a dip in the small pool or unwind on the sun loungers.

From hiking, biking, golf, and watersports, to vineyards, restaurants, music and markets – there's something for everyone! Domaine du Lac is located in Eymet in the Dordogne region, on the border of Lot-et-Garonne. Bergerac Marmande and Duras are all closeby, as well as the magnificent Dordogne river - a UNESCO world heritage site. There's a wonderful 7km walking loop around the lake and the option to rent kayaks. Fantastic, independent vineyards are within walking distance, where bottles can be tried and bought on site. The centre of Eymet is a few minutes drive and has plenty of great bars and restaurants, and some excellent live music. You'll find delicious, local produce at the market on Thursday mornings, and lively night markets held throughout summer. The area is perfect for cycling and hiking and there are many chateaux and picturesque towns to discover. There are supervised lake/river beaches at Marmande and Bergerac, and Chateau de Vigiers superb 27 hole golf course is just 20 minutes away. Bergerac airport is just 30 minutes away, and Bordeaux is 1h 30.
