Your hosts, Richard (the ‘Rosbif’) and Philippe (le ‘Frog’), have been running this Bed and Breakfast for over seventeen years. As well as loving hospitality, we will endeavour to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Property information

The guestrooms are in a former coaching house, dating back to the 18th century. Following an extensive renovation and continual improvements, we have carefully restored the house to enhance many original features – open fireplaces, stonework and exposed beams. Also, the Relais Dilgence, being a Bed and Breakfast, has gone back to its origins – welcoming & entertaining those travelling through this part of Aquitaine in an intimate and warm atmosphere. The decoration throughout the house is homely and authentic, reflecting the soul and personality of its two owners. To really make the most of the Chambre d’Hôtes experience, see if you can join us for dinner. Hopefully you’ll enjoy spending the evening with us & your fellow guests as much as we will enjoy the time with you too.

Neighbourhood information

La Belle Demeure is located in the heart of the Périgord Noir, in the village of Saint Cybranet. A charming Bed and Breakfast nestled in the Céou Valley, on the road between the village of Castelnaud and the medieval village of Domme. We have an abundance of sites on our doorstep. Within a radius of 5 miles, there are Castelnaud and Beynac (with their castles) as well as Domme and La Roque-Gageac, little villages built using the local honey-coloured stone. These four villages are classified within the very sought after “Most Beautiful Villages of France”. Also, just a hair’s breadth away is Château des Milandes where you will discover the extraordinary story of the cabaret singer Josephine Baker. Just 10 miles away is the medieval jewel of Sarlat. This market town will enchant you with its atmosphere, its architecture, its history and its lively Saturday market. Just a 45 minute drive away is Lascaux and the Vézère Valley where you can discover the rich prehistory of the region. Likewise, why not spend a day in the neighbouring Lot department visiting Rocamadour, the beautiful villages of Autoire & Loubressac or take a boat trip 100 metres underground in the Padirac Caves.
