Saint-Loubès is a commune in the Entre-deux-Mers region, about 20 kilometres from Bordeaux. Located on the left bank of the Dordogne, in the Gironde department, it is situated at the gateway to the Bordeaux Urban Community. A sort of town in the countryside, Saint-Loubès takes its name from a deformation of Saint Loup, a former bishop of Troyes who died in the 5th century. Dynamic and modern, the town has been able to develop an important economic activity since the 1970s, centred on several thematic centres. The Gironde city also offers a very interesting range of leisure and tourism facilities. Full of charm, the town, which is quite old, also reveals some beautiful monuments, witnesses of glorious eras and an eventful past.
