When we first visited the property in 2009, we knew right away that this would the place for our horse farm and tourist accomodation. After several years of renovation and the building of our own house, our beautiful, comfortable and generous suites are ready to host you. Built inside our ancient stone barn, they can host up to 8 persons. We run a horse boarding farm so we also accomodate horses. They will have their own paddock and a horse box is also available if needed.
We are a family of five, me and my husband and our three kids, aged 6 to 12. We love nature, and grow a big vegetable garden. The jams you will have for breakfast are home made. There are about 8 horses to care for and we have taken over recently a vineyard nearby, so there is a lot of hard, but enthrilling work to do! I often ride horseback, long rides on trails around the property or sometimes we take out the horses to contests or group rides. If you would like to ride, just ask me and I will do my best to organize something.
The property is set in a neighborhood of rolling hills, with various landscapes from vineyards to woods. Every now and then you get a view to the river Dordogne valley. The small villages around have lots of houses built in the traditional local sand/chalk stone. Nearby you will be able to visit fabulous World Heritage sites: Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux, the citadel of Blaye, which all are only half an hour's drive away. The nearest town, Libourne, is interesting for its typical "bastide" marketplace and hosts also some museums.
