La Petite Cave is in the beautiful village Saignon in the Luberon area of Provence. Saignon is perched high on a mountain overlooking the town of Apt with gorgeous views. The basement area (cave) of the house used to be a fine dining restaurant, so the house has a fabulous kitchen which is lovely to cook in. The house stretches over 3 floors. The bedrooms are very big and each with their own ensuite. There is a guest toilet and laundry in the cave. The cave has a fully stocked bar and it is a very cool and quiet place to relax in. The there is lovely little balcony off the 'poppy' lounge of the kitchen, you can sit there with your glass of wine and admire the gorgeous view. The back door opens up onto a lovely court yard with a fountain. Many nights can be spent there having dinner, drinking wine and chatting to the neighbours and guests in the village.
Saignon is one of the most beautiful of the villages in the Luberon area of Provence. The bakery, Christine's is very popular and offer the best croissants, cakes, pies, bread in the area.
