We have a private parking at 150 meters distance from the apartment and furnish a badge for the supervised parking of the village at 100 meters As the building has high window bays, stairs and an attic, it is adapted for kids who can already handle that danger. Family Scheer bought the Sarrasine in 2014 seduced by the beauty of the area and the building. We have fitted in two private appartements combining the medieval charm of the original stones with modern confort. Each appartement has a private outside space giving view to the ancient battlement with the two towers. The downstair area has vaulted caves giving space to a little grocery store, a gift shop and a cosy restaurant with terrace, serving home made regional specialities.

The village of « Aiguèze » reigns above the cliffs giving an unrestricted panorama over the entrance of the natural reservate of the canyon of « Les gorges de l’Ardeche » on the one side and its soft wineyards hills on the other side. The Provence –feeling comes easily by sitting under the hunderts –of years old platane-trees with an « apéro », accompanied by the chant of the cigales, watching a local pétanque-match. Many caves and grottos invite to be visited, each one diverted, as for exp. the "St Marcel", (5km) or the UNESCO-labeled "Grotte Chauvet". The rich historical & natural sites of the nearby Vallée de la Cèze with its beautiful mid-age villages such as Monclus and La Roque sur Cèze with its Cascades, Cornillon, Goudargues and its lavender fields … Uzès, the famous « Pont de Gard » The beautiful villages of the montains of the Ardèche (Aubenas, Voguë, Balazuc..)
