An old cheese factory converted into a guest house, the gîte sits next to a 17th century Breton manor. Nestled within 17 acres of woods and fields, the property is equipped with a swing, trampoline and slide for children.

We are a French-American couple passionate about birdwatching and conservation of local fauna and flora in Brittany. After traveling the world for many years and experiencing various cultures, we are in our turn excited to welcome all visitors curious to discover northern Finistère.

The environment of the property is quite rural: the property is located between two dairy farms and is bordered to the north by a river. The village of Saint-Derrien is less than two kilometers away. Horses living a peaceful retirement are present on the property. A hiking trail begins near the house and follows the course of the La Flèche river; two old mills can be visited. The Landivisiau naval air base is a few kilometers away and the calm of the countryside can be interrupted by the thunderous overhead flights of military planes, including the famous rafale fighter aircraft. It is important to note that during the month of September, it is quite likely that fighter pilot training will take place near our establishment. Simulated aircraft carrier landing training may take place during the day at low altitude and may be extremely noisy. These exercises may take place between 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., with two sessions per day lasting 1.5 hours each. We are 14 km from the sea, the sandy beaches and dunes of Keremma, and the côte des Légendes. The very remarkable Château de Kerjean is 4 km away. 25 km to the north is the picturesque city Roscoff with its Exotic and Botanic Garden. Founded by privateers, it is the departure point for visitors to the delightful, must-see island of Batz. Less than 25 minutes away by car, the Goulven Bay bird sanctuary is located on an important migration route.
