A newly restored, attached ground-floor property, with one part-time neighbour, and surrounded by rolling countryside. We are also pleased to announce that Booking have awarded us a Traveller Review Award, with an average sore of 9.4 for the year.
We moved to France in 2020, and spent 2021 restoring our house and gite. Our next project is to get the garden back to its former glory and to be able to produce a lot of fruit and vegetables.
We are located in the heart of France, in rural farmland. It is peaceful here without being remote. The nearest city (Montluçon) is about 30 minutes away. Boussac (15 minutes away) has a fine Chateau to visit, along with a bustling weekly market. There is a Roman Museum also 15 minutes away in Chateaumeillant. Our local village, which is only a 10 minute walk away, has a very good restaurant, La Pont Bayonne, which serves home-made food. The village also has a well-stocked shop. Only 3 minutes walk from our gite is a beautiful small lake for a relaxing walk.
