Bright modern interior with lovely views over open countryside that you can enjoy from the terrace or through the patio doors in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped with a good amount of space to self cater.
We have lived at this property for 8 years after retiring from running 3 gites in a nearby village. That experience makes us very aware what guests need for a memorable stay whether that is one night or several weeks. We live next door to the rental property.There are separate entrances and separate outside space for your privacy but we are close enough to deal with any requests or problems. We speak some French but it is a work in progress.
The accommodation is in a quiet rural hamlet just 6min drive to the market town of Aulnay de Saintonge. There is a twice weekly market 4 bars/restaurants, banks and supermarket. Saint Jean d'Angely with it's famous Abbeyis approximately 20 minutes in a car, there you will find a twice weekly market large supermarkets and other retail outlets. There's a choice of restaurants and bars. Larger towns that include La Rochelle, Cognac, Saints and Poitiers are all around an hour away.
