Staff, breakfast, room, everything was great. We left bags while we hiked GR20, we then were upgraded to fabulous suite when we returned. How lucky to soak in a tub after the trek. Even without that, this is a very good hotel, well run with good amenities.

We were there early November.
We were there early November. Not ideal time of the year, it was sunny though! Property is in town near the water,, in downtown. Can walk to citadel, shops, restaurants, the marina. Lots of shops and restaurants were closed: next time I would go in May, June or Sept, Oct.
The whole area is beautiful!

We loved Sun beach and hired sunbeds right on the beach under the restaurant for 3 days. The village was very cute with interesting shopping and great restaurants. We also enjoyed walking around the small harbour. Calvi has a fabulous supermarket (Super U) along the main street opposite the sea. The views of the mountains in Calvi is nothing short of spectacular. We also enjoyed the 30 min drive along the coast to L'lle Rousse and found a little pebble beach all to ourselves. A week is definitely not enough time in Corsica

Lovely old town and harbour and marina with bars and restaurants but expensive. 9 euros for 500ml beer. Main courses mostly over 20 euros plus
Not easy for people with mobility problems as steep round the citadel and harbour.
Not much choice for vegetarians except pizza pasta and salads. A nightmare for vegans!

Calvi is a small fortress citadel surrounded by shops and restaurants and everywhere is walking distance. Everyone spoke English but were kind about my schoolboy French. Lots of beach and restaurants on the beach easily accessible by walking the beach or the boardwalk set back by the small train line. Diving trips and boat cruises abound (our sunset cruise had dolphins !!!) as well as tours into the mountains to visit picturesque villages. We had an evening concert in the Cathedral of Polyphonic singers, very moving. Try the local train to get to beaches along the northwest coast, very relaxed.

Calvi is a lovely traditional town with a small port/marina and delightful waterfront. It is dominated by the medieval (15th century) Citadel, built by the Genoese who occupied the island at that time, and well worth a few visits. Concerts are staged at the cathedral in the Citadel, tickets being available from the Tourism Office, adjacent to the railway station. The views over Calvi itself from its walls and terraces are wonderful. It has a railway station, for 'Le Petit Train', with regular trains which service the route as far as L'Isle Rousse and two services per day that with one change go as far as the capital Ajaccio. It has a wonderful beach - Pinede beach - which is walkable for at least 3 miles.
Everything. I liked it all. Nicole is the most amazing host we have ever had. We travelled around Europe for 10 weeks and this week in Calvi was the best! She is caring, thoughtful and very loving. Every morning, Nicole surprised us with a new homemade cake, croissants and baguette with different jams and marmalades. Coffee, tea and chocolate in abundance and tea in the afternoon. It was very pleasant and very comfortable. She organized our room everyday and cared for us as if we were her children. She is adorable.
A superb hotel in a quiet position above Calvi, with beautiful views over the bay. The Reception and restaurant staff were very friendly indeed and ensured that everything was perfect for your stay. Rooms were immaculate and the pool area beautiful. There was a shuttle to drive guests to the town or beach etc but there was a daily cost for that service. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant very good indeed.
We stayed here for 2 weeks.
The bedroom was decent sized and our room was facing the pool. We were at the ground level so it was convenient to just get out of the room and go to the pool.
It's only 10mins walk to the town, beautiful location where the hotel is.
The owner and her family were really lovely towards me and my boyfriend. They made us feel welcomed and were accommodating. I already miss the place
Brilliant location right in the heart of Calvi, close to the beach, the harbour and the citadel. Lovely host and very friendly. Nice attentions with tea and coffee provided. Comfortable and clean with everything you need. Private parking at the residence. Good value for money. Would definitely use again. Thank you
Hotel Il Tramonto is a very convenient hotel and a good location for exploring Calvi and its neighborhood.
The breakfast is basic but very tasteful; we suggest to add some local, seasonal fruit to make it complete.
All in all we had a very good stay at II Tramonto with very helpful and friendly staff members.
The location was great, close to the beach. The rooms were nicely renovated. Parking was free. What I liked most though was the restaurant down the road from the hotel L'Aixtra which was absolutely exceptional food ( no connection to the hotel other than being close by).
Fantastic location in Calvi, right on the beach but also close to the Fort and to the downtown with all the shops and restaurants. Lovely pool. Great restaurant with good breakfast options and a stunning view. AC kept the room very cool. Balcony with incredible view.
Beautiful, well maintained hotel near the city centre of Calvi and its beach. Big, comfortable beds, bathroom with a bad. Also the swimming pool and its terrace on the roof are very well maintained. Staff is very friendly!
Amazing location and views. Lovely traditional apartment in great condition. Hosts were very helpful. Would recommend to others who want to stay in a historic Calvi location not far from shops and beach.
