Our home is in the center of the village of Noirmoutier on the French island of the same name. Within meters of the property we have bus service, shops, and restaurants. You are also a short walk to the beach, castle, church, and the famous Alle Jacobson sea-walk. We also provide free bicycles to all of our guests, along with breakfast … in essence, a B&B&B! Your private bedroom is equipped with a king-sized bed, flat-screen TV, WiFi and private bathroom. Your room is private for your use. We welcome you to our garden or salon (weather permitting) for your breakfast each morning, as well as full table d'hote services for lunch or dinner available in our salon. We also provide a refrigerator and fresh water fountain in the upstairs foyer for our guests to share.
We have one small dog and two cats that will stay out of your way, although the dog may try and play with you. We have a private garden for your enjoyment, and full table d-hote services along with your free breakfast each morning! We are in the house and available most of the time should you need help or information. We love to socialize with our guests, but don't force it them if they wish for peace and quiet. We speak English and French in the house. We serve breakfast each morning between 8am and 10am. We have a professional culinary chef on the premises, so please ask about our catered meals and special food events. We also provide English speaking lessons in our home for interested guests.
The village of Noirmoutier on the island of the same name is a most beautiful and interesting place. You are walking distance from the famous castle and church. You'll also love walking on the famous Alle Jacobson sea-walk where you can see many magnificent birds overlooking their nesting sanctuary on one side, and beautiful sea sights on the other. Just outside our doors you can access great shopping, restaurants, and the open marketplace! The best way to get around is on bicycle, of which we supply for free! You can access the entire Island within 30 minutes riding in any one direction. In season, there is also free bus service to the best beach in Noirmoutier just outside our door, with service every 15 minutes. If you prefer to hike, these beautiful beaches are less than 20 minutes walking. We have free public parking within 3 blocks of our home, and the regular bus station if you are coming to the island via public transportation.
