We fell in love with Burgundy wine many years ago and started including the region in our European travels. We were always disappointed with the choice of available holiday rental accommodation. Imagine our delight when we fell in love with this house; in a beautiful wine village. Our other property le Chevalier has 3 bedrooms and bathrooms, but we have a large circle of family and friends, so to turn the attached barn into a 1 bedroom Apartment seemed a natural course to take. It needed total renovation. But together with Le Chevalier we were delighted we could finally create a place that has all the comforts of home; the kind of place where we would choose to stay. The Mews is situated in a beautiful wine village, overlooking a charming garden square with petanque pitch shaded by mature trees. It is walking distance to shops and a great choice of restaurants. The Apartment contains many features such as exposed oak beams, parquet floors, and elegant French furnishings. The open plan kitchen/dining area flows to a tranquil outdoor terrace that is ideal for balmy summer evenings to enjoy delicious Burgundian food and wine.

When my wife Jill and I visited Burgundy for the first time we instantly fell in love with the place and rented properties similar to those that we now offer to our guests. In 2018 we were lucky enough to move over to the Cote D'Or permanently and we live in a lovely property overlooking the vineyards of Santenay and are therefore close on hand if you need help or support with anything during your visit. At the end of 2018 we took over the ownership of the Location Burgundy business of which this property is a part and we feel very fortunate that we can carry on the great work of the previous owners and meet guests who love the area and all it has to offer as much as we do

Puligny- Montrachet, a deceptively sleepy village just 10 kms south of Beaune, lies at the foot of a band of vineyards producing some of the greatest and most expensive white wines in the world. Le Montrachet, Chevalier Montrachet, Batard Montrachet and Bienvenue Batard Montrachet are the most prized of Burgundy’s Grand Cru white wines and are the reason this village has become the iconic destination for wine lovers the world over. The village forms a pretty cluster of stone houses in between and around the two main squares. Stroll into the Place de Fontaines home to the village café /bar and a Michelin starred restaurant; you could find yourself joining in on the Fete de Music, a musical evening celebrated mid-June throughout France, enjoying the fireworks of Bastille Day on July 14th or bartering for bric-a-brac at the Vide Grenier, a village fete held each August. The Place Monument is home to the boulangerie and La Table, the delightful restaurant serving a set lunch with complimentary wines to taste from the famous Olivier Leflaive domaine.
